Stewardship & Trust Service

The Department of Stewardship is in charged with the following responsibilities to the administration:

1. Initiate strategic planning
2. Train the Union, Mission/Conference stewardship departmental leadership in the principles and practices, as well as teaching and training methods.
3. Coordinate the stewardship Certification for training directors, pastors, and local church leaders in consultation with unions and missions/conferences, including certification curriculum.
4. Prepare educational materials annually, including materials on the usage of tithe and offerings.
5. Participate with the church leadership in developing strategic objectives, goals, plans, and budgets to advance the mission of the church.

The Trust Services personnel is to:

• Encourage the church members to make their will.
• Help the church members in settling their estate.
• Help church members to reduce their taxes.
• Educate church members about the principles of Trust Services.
• Provide brochures using the Cycle of Life approach so that the church members will understand that every level of the church membership can plan their giving.
• Develop materials to be used in motivating members in Planning for the Cycle of Life.
